Welcome

I head the Bioinformatics Group at the Ophthalmic Genetics and Visual Function Branch (OGVFB) of the National Eye Institute. The group is, generally, responsible for analysis of genome-wide data in the branch.

My research interests include (re)analysis of public genomics data sets, information project, and genetic variant prioritization in human disease.

I use bash, python (when necessary), and R (when possible) to get work done.

This is a new site to eventually fully replace davemcg.github.io. I’m going to do an awkward set of new posts and slowly porting over old posts before I put the old site down. I cannot really update the old site anymore due to very stupid reasons that involve ARM64 / academic-theme / hugo / blogdown / version-mismatches.
